SDG Series
SDG housings are made of Grey Cast Iron as per IS : 210 (SDGC Type) which can also be made from S.G.Iron (SDGD Type) or Cast Steel Castings (SDGS Type) for heavier load application. These housings are suitable for Grease Lubrication and for spherical Roller Bearings with adapter sleeve or withdrawal sleeves mountings on bearings with cylinderical bore in 22200, 23200, 23000, 23100 & 24100 Bearing series.
These housings are split type and incorporate cover at one side which is inserted in a groove of the housing bore. Labyrinth Seals are provided on each side for through shaft or open type housing and on one side with end cover for shaft end or closed type housings. To enhance shaft sealing efficiency supplementary felt seals are provided at inboard side. These housings can be used for located or non located bearing arrangement as well as for cross located bearings (two bearings each locating the shaft in one direction only, the direction being opposed).
